My Story: Audrey Russell

Audrey was born in Toronto and grew up in Port Credit, an area of Mississauga, Ontario. A “chosen child” raised by Christian parents, her mother was a Methodist and her father a Salvationist. Audrey attended the Methodist Sunday School and Church for the first 22 years of her life and also The Salvation Army as her grandparents were Salvationists involved in the Corps. (more…)

My life started out with my mom telling everyone she did not go to the hospital until she had the house cleaned, the boarders fed and the bread was made and out of the oven. Then she decided to go to the hospital where I was born.

My Story: Dan Lavallee

I began a slippery walk to drug and alcohol addiction when I was only 15 years of age. From the time I was 20-25, working full time and receiving regular income, access to drugs and alcohol became easier. The daily consumption of one or both soon became my pattern for living. My Story: Kim Chooi

My name is Kim and at 42 I think I can say that I have always known God but it was not until about 10 yrs ago that I chose to know him personally.

I was brought to the Salvation Army by close friends and after a awhile noticed that this was different than church growing up. There was something called a personal relationship with God that I never knew about. You had to ask for it, I did, not much changed!!
