Testify to the End!

Alison brings an awesome word this morning for our second installment of The End. John the Baptist was kind of an odd fellow, but as Alison follows his story through John 1:19-34 we learn something of his testimony to Jesus, the one who comes to end all our religions and attempts at doing it on our own. Awesome sermon, don’t miss out.

Now for those who usually hang out Sunday morning live you’ll know we love interaction. So a little ways into the sermon Alison gets us all to share our week’s testimony with our neighbour. it was great. We’ve had our editing elves take out the portion for our online audience. But we’d encourage you to join in the conversation. Feel free to leave a comment with your God’s moments from this past week. Or, better yet share that testimony with someone you run into this week. Have a good one.

We don’t need to do it alone (think: God) and the job can get done faster than you think. Just click away and have a listen.

The men of High Point had a fantastic weekend up at Camp Sunrise (Stay tuned later this week for some amazing stories – God turned up in some pretty wild ways!) Back in Victoria things at High Point continued on ahead full speed. Alison tackled Nehemiah 3. (Read it through you’ll know what I mean when I say ‘tackled’).

It’s a great preach, and one you’ll want to pass on.

Lt. Peter Busts a Move

I was preaching on Philippians 2 a few weeks ago, and because part of it was originally written as a song I felt it important to try and emphasize that in some way. But because I’m not much of a singer the opera version of the passage had to be laid aside. Instead I tried my hand at rapping the 6 verses. Yep. One thing is for sure, I’m not ever going to be on Much Music, but hopefully the point came across.

You just never know what’s going to happen as we continue to study Paul’s Letter to the Philippian Church these next few weeks.
